Congratulations Henry, and especially on getting it in paperback. That never happens with wine books normally.
I have the opposite problem. I think I wrote two very accessible books on wine, and the only people that read them are wine geeks who wish I talked more about malolactic fermentation and genotypes.
Am halfway through and think it is truly brilliant . Very accessible , human but doesn’t shy away from the more contentious issues . Will finish report once completed but would hugely recommend at this stage
This is fantastic , finished in about three days. Fascinating deep dive into English wine especially interesting about production costs and the future . Have already received a mixed case of Will Davenport’s wines and now compiling another case of wines I knew little about . Well written and beautifully read by Henry . For someone who has always been ambivalent about the subject now utterly absorbed in it . Thank you Henry
I am pleased. I suppose Canada does the cool climate thing so well these days that there's not really much point importing English wine, coals to Newcastle.

Thanks Simon. Your books were a a great inspiration, actually. Also Robert Camuto.
+1 on Robert's books (well, I've only read Palmento actually. I'm sure the new one is great too)
Off to buy it now , like what I hear about it
Went for the Audiobook in the end , something interesting to listen to on my next flight
I hope you enjoy it! It’s read by me.
Will report back !

I can't really ask for a better appreciation. Thank you Johnnie!
No other book about wine has ever made me chuckle with delight. I will read it again soon and hope there will be a sequel.
That makes me so happy to hear!
Does the paperback include your friend's critiques in the margins? I really hope so.
That's one for the anniversary edition.
I really enjoyed the kindle version when I read it. Trying to find English wine here in Canada has proven difficult.

I suppose it doesn't get much colder than Niagara ice wine
