Thanks so much for the suggestion on these wines, I am enjoying your Substack articles. I thought the Horsmondon Dry was one of the better English wines when I tried it a couple of years ago. Given there’s been more still Pinot Noirs been coming through from English and Welsh producers after the warmer summers we’ve recently had, I wondered if you’d tried theirs? (Not sure which to try)
I think it might be a whole post, actually. I've tried a lot of English reds (and a couple of Welsh ones). There are some nice ones but they tend to be very expensive and not quite competitive compared with France or Germany. Will do a whole post on this soon.
We were just having this conversation over lunch yesterday. A friend brought over Westwell's 2013 Blanc de Blancs. It's zero dosage but doesn't taste austere at all. Very impressive.
That Westwell sounds extremely interesting.
I love to hear it.

The delicious Westwell Pelegrim is my current no.1 sparkler, so I'm very curious to try more of their range. They're clearly on top of their game.
