Wine of the Week: Ashbourne Sandstone

Ooh, baby do you know what that’s worth? Ooh heaven is a place on earth!

I met my father and cousin for a boys’ lunch earlier this month. Appropriately enough we went to Boisdale*, a steak restaurant with the atmosphere of a gentleman’s club in Belgravia. The wine list is not inexpensive but there are some semi-bargains if you know where to look. Though my father is quite into his wine, we don’t tend to pontificate too much on the subject so I didn’t introduce the wine with any fanfare but both my father and cousin remarked on how good it was.
