Reasons to be cheerful about the future of England's wine industry.

Last Friday’s post looking at structural problems in English wine upset some people. I had comments on Linkedin along the lines of ‘why do you hate English wine?’ or accusing me of just presenting only one side of the story.

Subscribers will know that I write quite regularly on English wine, usually positively with recommendations for wines to try. I’ve even written a whole book on the subject. But the criticism inspired me to put together some brief thoughts about where I think the industry is going and why I’m generally optimistic.
